Chicago-Area Brake & Battery Business System
Now accepting technicians for Chicagoland

Start Your Own Mobile Brake & Battery Business in the Chicago Area

If you have real shop experience and you’re tired of flat-rate politics, this system lets you run your own mobile operation in a protected territory — without guessing how to get customers, build a website, or handle payments.

Apply Now – Reserve a Territory

Ideal for techs with 2–5 years experience and at least an ASE brake certification (or equivalent).

How the System Works

You bring the skills and the tools. We bring the website, structure, and lead flow. Together, it functions like a business partnership in spirit, but legally you are an independent contractor.

1. You’re assigned a territory

You get exclusive rights to either: Cook+DuPage, Will+Grundy, or Kane+Kendall. No other tech in the system competes with you in your counties.

2. We build and host your site

A clean, SEO-optimized website is set up for your region. Customers in your counties see your service pages and book through our online prepay system.

3. Jobs are prepaid online

Customers pay up front through the website. We handle the transaction and order parts through our preferred suppliers (CarQuest/Advance, NAPA, etc.).

4. You do the work & get paid

You pick up the parts, go to the customer, do the brake or battery job, and get your labor cut. Battery jobs are split (e.g. 60/40) to reward fast response, while brakes are built into your lease.

Chicago-Area Territories (Two Counties per Tech)

To keep this sustainable and fair, each tech gets two full counties. Once a region is assigned, it is not offered again unless the tech gives it up or fails to stay current.

Territory 1

Cook County + DuPage County

Metro & West Suburbs:

  • Chicago, Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Schaumburg
  • Arlington Heights, Cicero, Tinley Park, Berwyn
  • Naperville, Downers Grove, Wheaton, Lisle
  • Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Elmhurst, Carol Stream

High density, strong earning potential, especially on weekends.

Territory 2

Will County + Grundy County

Southwest Suburbs & Corridor:

  • Joliet, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Plainfield
  • Lockport, Shorewood, New Lenox
  • Morris, Minooka, surrounding areas

Growing region with solid middle-class vehicle ownership.

Territory 3

Kane County + Kendall County

Western Suburbs & Outlying Towns:

  • Elgin, St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia
  • South Elgin, North Aurora
  • Oswego, Yorkville, Montgomery, Plano

Excellent area for a steady weekend operation.

A possible fourth territory (Lake + McHenry) may open later as the system grows.

What We Require From You

This is not for beginners or people trying to “wing it.” We’re looking for techs who can actually handle the work and represent the brand like professionals.

Credentials

  • At least 2 years professional automotive experience (2–5 preferred).
  • ASE brake certification (A5) or equivalent brake skill & documentation.
  • Comfortable performing pad/rotor work and basic diagnostics on your own.

Legal & Tax Info

  • Valid Social Security Number – required for 1099-NEC reporting.
  • Your SSN must verify correctly. If there are issues with this, it’s best not to apply.
  • You must have the legal right to work as an independent contractor in the U.S.

If you cannot pass this verification, your application will not be considered.

Financial Commitment

  • $250 deposit (one-time, holds your territory).
  • $250 for the first month (site/territory lease).
  • $500 total due up front to start.
  • $250 per month thereafter, due on the 15th of each month.

3-day grace period to the 18th. After that, there is a $50 reinstatement fee and your site may be placed in maintenance mode until payment is received.

Professionalism

  • Reliable, responsive communication — especially on battery calls.
  • Ability to show up on time and follow through on scheduled jobs.
  • Willingness to wear basic branding (hat, magnets) when provided.

What You Get for $250/Month

A single 4-wheel brake job or a few battery installs can easily justify the monthly lease. The rest is earning potential for you.

Built-for-you website

We handle the site build, hosting, SEO structure, and service pages for your two-county territory so customers can actually find you.

Prepaid jobs

Customers pay through the website. Parts are ordered via our accounts, and you get the labor and your cut of the profit where applicable (e.g. batteries).

Territory protection

We do not overload territories. One tech per two-county block. If you’re current and active, that area remains yours.

Real-world experience behind it

This system is built by someone who ran mobile brakes and batteries in the Chicago area for years, long before it was trendy. You’re not guessing; you’re plugging into something proven.

Apply Now

If you meet the requirements above and you’re ready to run your own mobile brake & battery business in a two-county Chicago territory, fill out the application below. Only serious, qualified applicants will be contacted.
